Pollution in Ecuador Can Be Controlled

People only care about having a car or the best technology, and they not realize they are destroying the nature and their own lives. Ecuador has always been recognized as a natural country, a great biodiversity: full of exotic species (flora and fauna). This recognition is disappearing due to humans. Ecuador is now suffering several consequences because of human contamination. This country should take some of the followings advices in order to attack the pollution problems. (explain more your thesis)

First of all, the overpopulation of cars in Ecuador is affecting human health. The government should invest in public transportation, so people use it and stop buying cars. Cars can be a good way of transportation, but the overpopulation of cars that Quito has, can be the worse friend of human life. For example, cars usually emitted a lot of toxic gases and some particles that in future will have harmful effects on human health, especially when there are more cars than normal. These gases are emitted into the atmosphere and these enter in our lungs every second and in every breath that we take. That’s why the government should control the overpopulation of cars, and they should invest in public transportation.

Second, water pollution is a serious problem in Ecuador, mainly because of the oil companies, and the oil spills that these companies cause. The country should improve the regulations and take more control to the oil companies. The government must increase the taxes in the case of oil spills, so they will be more careful in the handling of oil. These oil spills cause extensive damage. For example, these spills cause deaths of animals and plants of the area. Oil in water also affects people who use this water because it can cause poisoning and even death. The government must be severe with the oil spills, and take actions in case that these oil companies polluted the environment.

Third, Ecuador is being affected by industries wastes. These industries just care about the technology and all the goods that they can produce. And they don’t care about nature and human health. That’s why people in this country should start to recycling plastic bottle, and they must recycle paper such as printing in the two faces of the sheet of paper. The Municipality of the different cities in Ecuador should also be stricter about garbage collection by implementing best separation practices for waste and material that can be recycled. If people begin to recycle, there will be less consumption so that industries will have less waste and less pollution will affect us.

In conclusion, Ecuador is suffering several consequences because of pollution. But there are many ways to attack the problem of pollution in Ecuador such as controlling the overpopulation of cars in the country by investing in popular transportation. Also people should start recycling and the government must be more demanding with oil companies so they can be more aware of their actions here are still many ways and solutions to save the country, and allow it to remain a natural and biodiverse country. (and let it be a nature care country).

A Hard Beginning

There are none country in the world that does not have pollution problems. In the case of Ecuador, the economy is not as good as others to attack this problem. We know that if any country wants to fix these kinds of problems that affect the environment of the world, they need to invest millions of dollars to keep it in order. This new tendency of take care of the environment is starting to be in knowledge of a big part of the Ecuadorians, which means that we are starting to become more worried about our future. Ecuador is one of the countries that is in progress to deal with this problem with many kinds of actions.

In Ecuador, people started to recycle papers, glasses, and cans. There is a city that began with this good starting; Loja is one of the cleanest city in the world. This city is so clean because they recycle as normally as we throw our garbage. Loja is a good example that Ecuadorians can be friendly with the nature. Today, is common to see in the colleges, schools, and big places in general a place where you can put your garbage so you can recycle by putting for example your can in the can trash.

In the USFQ, we can see different containers where students and teachers can throw their plastic bottles and papers that they won’t use anymore. This is not enough for the entire country, but at least is a good start. The idea of this project is to create an awareness of the future that we want. Our sons and daughters will suffer the consequences of our acts. If people can take something good about the USFQ, the best thing will be to respect the nature and protect of ignorant people that pollute.

It is very hard to teach the people to be more conscious about the environment. There are a lot of people that have no education; so their ignorance produces more contamination. In the other hand, there are some foundations that try to help these people by teaching the importance of a clean environment. The idea is to help them and then help the environment; it is like a cycle chain.

The capital of Ecuador, Quito, implanted a few years ago CORPAIR; this is a place where all the cars in Pichincha, must to (delete this word) go there and check their cars. The main idea of this project is to reduce the emission of smoke of all type of vehicles. The statistics shows us that they helped a lot to the air in the city of Quito; by the way, Quito is one of the most contaminated cities in Latin America.

As a conclusion, Ecuador is a small country that has a short economy, and this is why it is very hard to take care about contamination. Even that, Ecuador is trying to make conscious to the people by recycling in big places where they can take care about it and start to recycle at home. There are good trying to be more friendly with the nature, what helps at least in some way to the world in general.

University (the title is too general)

I always thought that college is a place where efforts are a thing of every day, a place where responsibility is the main factor to consider; but since I have studied nearly four years I see that it is not entirely true. I thought that the attitude of those who study at a “university level” might reflect responsibility and effort; also, that the academic level would exceed the level (you repeat a lot this word) of a school; moreover, that teachers would be more rigorous when enrage and qualify, opposing college.

I always thought that when a person goes to university is because he or she wants to exploit their potential, and absorb if possible, all the knowledge available. For that reason, I thought that the way that my classmates would face the responsibility of studying and homework would be the priority, but many do not give their best effort, (.)In fact, lot of them will only seek to make the slightest effort; that's why I think a large group of students would regard this process as vague, and they had to react and concern to seize this opportunity to study, or they will regret it.

Since I was very little, I got the idea that the academic level of the universities was exceptionally high; and the only way to cross it might be with a lot of effort and dedication. So it doesn’t matter how many times do some people had to repeat a class, because the priority would be to really get to know and assimilate the principles of the course. In contrast, I had found that the level actually required sometimes from university, is not the best in order to help develop the students' potential. I think that many of the projects demanded from us, fail on quality, “university quality”; because some average or even mediocre projects have being accepted by teachers, with low scores; and the sad thing is that very few are rejected. From my point of view, it is need to require more from students; as a way that we are trained to solve future problems and to achieve better professionals than previous generations; this can be done by developing on students the necessity of including quality on everything they do or try.

My father told me that the universities on his time, were very demanding and that the best teachers were the most rigorous to qualify; because for them, the fact that you strive to the extreme to get a good grade, will push you on your way to learn more. I thought that teachers on universities would be much more demanding than previous education levels, such as school; but never thought to find that each teacher has their own way to teach, and reach students (develop skills or train them) in unique ways; as an example, there are some methods such as games, to teach you by physical process as commonly happens in nature, while others immerse you past the Renaissance where artists lived and created their majestic paintings just by a perform; such methods, so efficiently applied, had prove that work as well.

Being at university is a facet that many people has to cross, the speculation of how it will be; how difficult it will be; which teachers will be rigorous, and which ones will be not; by the end it all will not matter, what will matter is how you take this experience to get the most benefit. Profit achieved will be yours if you focus the effort on your responsibilities and seek the positive opportunities that come your way.

An Old Picture

Have you ever seen a photography of forty years ago that reminds you to someone? Well that happened to me when the last day I found a family album filled with pictures of my father. But there was one photo in particular that made me impressed by the resemblance that he has with my son, also I noted the changes that my father has had throughout his life, and especially this picture caused me many feelings of wanting to know more about his life.

Everything started one day when my mother and I went to clean an old room where we used to put old stuff. At first, when I saw the picture I got surprised, asking myself, why was there a picture of my 18 months son? It was creepy at first, but then I figured out that the little boy that appeared in the portrait was my father when he was two years. In that photography, I saw the same face of my baby, and some little faction that were really similar to my son. Like, the little and mischievous eyes, and the golden curls that my father ever had.

After we saw that portrait, I went to ask some questions about the picture to my father. He was surprised to because he started to remember a lot of things, but he didn’t say anything. I saw a tear falling down from his eyes, and he started to tell me about his childhood and the mischief that performed with his siblings. I was really excited and intrigued by all the stories of his life. After asking many questions about the picture, I started to know more about my father’s past. I think that was the best experience in my life because I could learn more about my dad.

In the picture that I found, I notice the physical changes that my father has had throughout his life. For example, in the picture he has white skin, but now he has a dark skin color. In addition, he used to have a curly blond hair, and his hair now is black and grey. It’s funny to see how he has changed over the years; when he was a little boy, he was blond, and now he changed.

Finally, it’s amazing to find a picture from the past that remind you of someone, and it makes you feel the need to know about that past. When I found this particular picture, I have really impressed by the resemblance that he has with my son, Martin. The feelings and the beautiful experienced that this picture made me live are incredible.

Extreme Realities for Having Fun

There are many people that love all kind of adventures, but in my case I have three special things I like to do. One of them is to go off-road with my car; then my second extreme sport is biking, and of course goes with my family to the jungle for some walks around it. Going out with people that I like is just enough to enjoy different realities and situations.

My favorite hobby is to go with some friends that have nice cars to enjoy the nature by using our four wheel drive, and so we can experience the power of the engine of the cars. The sensation that all of us feel is hard to explain because the force that we suffer is just amazing. When we watch the effort that the car needs to pass though all the mud, little rivers and sand; we feel like we are the kings of the road. The best part of doing this is that we always record every interest moment and then we enjoy watching it at home together.

I had always considered myself as an adventurous person because I prefer to go to a different place, with the nature than staying at home boring and watching the TV set. This is why; we used to go out in our bikes with my friends and my wife to different places. And every moment that we go out, we try to go farer farther to be in a better shape. I like to go places that are hard to pass with the bike, the idea is to feel adrenaline and pass a good time in general.

As I said at the beginning, I always loved the nature and everything according to that; jungle is my favorite place to go because in there I can do all my three extreme hobbies. The road is always wet and there is often mud, so I can do some “off-roading”, then I used to carry my bikes in the trunk so I can go with my bike in the jungle, and of course walk with my friends and family together looking for some animals and take some pictures. There is nothing better than spend some weekends in there.

As a conclusion, I am a person that love different kind of extreme activities but only if I am with somebody together. A perfect place where I can go is to the jungle because of the variety of things that I can do with my friends and family. The only requirement for having fun is a four wheel drive SUV, some bikes, a jungle to go and specially somebody to share these experiences.
